Utility

RustEdit Pro

The nodes in the Utility category of the Terrain Graph's Add Node menu. Round sockets carry maps and square sockets carry single values. See Graph editor.

Field Switch

Pass on one of two fields, chosen by a condition. Handy for trying two versions of a graph.

Inputs

InputKindDefaultNotes
If TrueMap, any widthPassed on when the condition is on.
If FalseMap, any widthPassed on when the condition is off.
ConditionOn or offOnPicks which input is passed on.

Outputs

OutputKind
OutMap, any width. The result this node produces.

Graph Seed

The master seed for every random node in the graph. Change it for a new map.

Outputs

OutputKind
SeedWhole number. Change it to get a different random result.

Settings

SettingKindDefaultNotes
SeedWhole number0Change it to get a different random result.

Resample

Make a field the size of another map, reading it the way Rust does.

Inputs

InputKindDefaultNotes
InMap, any widthThe value this node works on.
SizeChoiceHeightWhich map's size to make the field. Options: Height, Splat, Biome, Topology.
FilterChoiceLinearHow to read between texels. Options: Linear, Nearest, Rust.

Outputs

OutputKind
OutMap, any width. The result this node produces.

Seed Random

One number from a seed's random chain. Chain Next Seed into the next one. Seed 0 uses the Graph Seed.

Inputs

InputKindDefaultNotes
SeedWhole number0Change it to get a different random result.
FunctionChoiceValueWhat the drawn number is turned into. Options: Value, Range, Sign, Offset, Frequency, Int Range.
MinNumber0The lowest value. Shows only with some settings.
MaxNumber1The highest value. Shows only with some settings.

Outputs

OutputKind
ValueNumber. The value this node holds and passes on.
Next SeedWhole number. The chain after this draw. Wire it into the next Seed Random's Seed.

World Size

The open map's width and terrain height, in metres.

Outputs

OutputKind
SizeNumber. How wide the map is, in metres.
HeightNumber. How high the terrain reaches from its lowest point, in metres.
