IO Port
The IO Port panel sets the name and the wire of an IO port: a named input or output of a custom monument, which wires on the map connect to. It shows when you select an IO port while you edit a monument.
An IO port is RustEdit's own object, not a Rust prefab. Inside the monument it is wired to the monument's circuit. On the placed monument, wires from the map connect to it. The map keeps those wires by the port's name.
Add one from the IO Ports folder of the Content Browser while you edit a monument: IO Input or IO Output. In the scene view it is a small ball with "In:" or "Out:" and its name over it. Its color shows its wire: yellow for power, blue for water, orange for industrial.
- The Inside card shows the wire to the monument's own circuit: an IO Input's output, or an IO Output's input. Click Connect or Disconnect on it.
- Test Power shows for an IO Input with an Electric wire. In Play mode, while you edit the monument, the input gives this much power when nothing is wired to it from outside. The map does not use it.
An exported map has no ports: each wire through a port goes straight to the IO entity on its other side.
Can edit several selected objects at once.
